Flittering and fluttering, like a bright, colourful insect, the Rufous Fantail is often encountered at close range in denser forests and scrubs. Fearless and demonstrative, it can be admired close up. The vigorously wagged, fiery-orange tail is spectacular, especially when highlighted by a beam of sunlight in a dark, forest setting.
