This photograph was taken the morning after a Kangaroo cull in Canberra, shots were still ringing out that frosty morning and the kangaroos were staying a little closer to each other than normal. Normally these birds take one look at you and fly away but this one gave my husband a steady gaze and did not budge. He seemed to know that a camera lens was less harmful than what was on the other side of the valley. The Brown Falcon artwork seen on our website was painted using this photograph as a reference.
