Cattle Egret

This Cattle Egret strutted about next to the grazing cattle, feeding on bugs and lizards disturbed by that. It also pecked a few bugs off the hides of the cattle. Nikon D500, Nikkor 300mm, f-8, 1/1600 sec, ISO-500

A small mob of cattle decided to sleep up against the fence, about 30 metres from the patio. They were soon joined by a flock of Cattle Egrets that foraged between them and perched on the backs of the sleeping cattle. I photographed this egret as he came down to join his friends.
