These birds aren’t overly common but can be found in many areas in the north of Australia. I was pleased to get a shot even though I was shooting upwards. Canon EOS 1000D, Tamron 200-500mm, 1/500 sec at f/8.0 ISO 320.

One of our daily visitors feeding on the Grevillea Flowers. Called a Blue Faced Honeyeater in the southern states. The name has been changed to White Quilled Honeyeater here in the north due to size differences. Apparently the northern species is smaller.
