A spectacular resident of the rainforests of SE Queensland and NE NSW, especially when in flight. The black colouring provides surprisingly good camouflage for perched birds in the denser rainforest thickets. Sometimes found in heavily planted gardens close to rainforest.
Went to O’Reilly’s Rainforest in Queensland especially to see a Regent Bowerbird. They are such a beautiful bird to see.
