Perth,Lake Gwelup where a Tawny Frogmouth familie is happy to have there young every year and i was lucky enough to be told by resident. After keeping my eyes open i finally managed to find them, including their nest which was a little while ago. They had some more young scenes then and i believe the one i took a photo of is one of them.Made me happy. Nikon D7200 18-300mm lens 1/125 f8 300mm
Tawny Frogmouths in my backyard, Mum Dad and young one. Thought I’d go out with my wife at hand to hold the torch. Shot with a Canon 5DIV and the original Canon 100-400 L IS series I lens. 1/40thsec f5.6 ISO-5000 at 320mm under torchlight
9:30pm, hand held, 1/30 sec, f/5.6, 85mm. Canon 760D, Canon 15-85mm. Hand held torch on face, only got one chance before it flew away.
This bird was at the Territory Wildlife park. Its very rare that I take photos of a captive bird although I couldn’t resist this one. Canon EOS60D 1/160 at f6.3 ISO 400, Sigma 18-300mm Lens
To my surprise there is a Tawny Frogmouth with her 2 chicks looking at me one afternoon walking in Lake Gwelup, north Perth,it’s awesome to find them and great to see ! Nikon D7200 ISO 640 f/6 300mm
Found this Tawny Frogmouth awake and alert in the tree it even posed for me. Penrith NSW
The beautiful Tawny Frogmouth, picture taken Perth, Herdsman Lake
Doing physio with an injured Tawny Frogmouth, much of which was her hating me and trying wherever possible to bite me!
This beautiful, young Tawny Frogmouth I have in care was hit by a car and has spinal trauma, which has affected her legs. She’s feisty and has a very strong will to live, time and care will tell.
These are one of my most favourite birds. Taken with Canon 80D at Penrith NSW.
