While waiting for a Red-backed Fairywren family to come closer, this flash of bright yellow appeared in the tree above me. Young White-throated Gerygones lack the distinctive white throat feathers which develop later. Oxley Creek Common, Rocklea, Queensland, Australia. NIKON D500 + 200.0-500.0 mm f/5.6 lens. 1/500 @ f/7.1 ISO 2500 @ 750 mm (effective FL)

Heard the call before I seen the bird such a pretty little Gerygone. Taken with Canon 700D at Penrith NSW.
