Yellow-bellied Sunbird

A tiny, tropical jewel, both male and female are bright yellow.  The male sports an iridescent, metallic purple throat and upper chest.  Hovering, hummingbird-like, they use their long, curved beaks to sip nectar from tropical flowers.  Undeterred by any active human presence, they will hang their nest from patio furniture, electrical cables and clotheslines.
